Our story

Decades of experience in fiberglass and polyethylene

Founded in 1975 in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia, Al-Hussaini Trading Establishment prides itself on decades of experience in the Kingdom's polyethylene and fiberglass markets. What started as a business supplying and marketing polyethylene and fiberglass tanks is today one of the region's largest makers of innovative polyethylene and fiberglass solutions for residential, commercial and industrial use.

Since its founding, the company has expanded several times and introduced a number of firsts to the Kingdom. We continue to broaden our scope and introduce more solutions, making Al-Hussaini a renowned and indispensable name in polyethylene and fiberglass manufacturing and marketing.

Our milestones

Milestones since 1975

Al-Hussaini Trading Establishment has achieved many milestones since it was founded in 1975. We take pride in each, and see them as a responsibility to keep improving and innovating.

  1. 1975

    Founded in Al-Khobar

    Al-Hussaini Trading Establishment is founded in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

  2. 1977

    Injection fiberglass tanks

    Injection-moulded fiberglass tanks are introduced in Saudi Arabia for the first time.

  3. 1980

    Manufacturing begins

    Production of fiberglass tanks begins, making the company one of the region's leaders in the field.

  4. 1993

    Healthy polyethylene tanks

    Gulf Polycon (UAE) healthy polyethylene tanks are introduced to the Kingdom for the first time.

  5. 1998

    Saudi Polycon is founded

    A joint venture with Gulf Polycon is set up to make polyethylene tanks and products.

  6. 1998

    Tanks for burying underground

    Amiantit Oman HDPE tanks for direct burial underground are introduced in the Kingdom for the first time.

  7. 1999

    The first four-layer tank

    The first four-layer polyethylene tanks are made and introduced in the Kingdom.

  8. 2006

    Polycon Fiber Foam tanks

    Insulated Polycon Fiber Foam tanks, made by Saudi Polycon and the A.M. Al-Hussaini Fiberglass Factory, are introduced.

  9. 2009

    ISO 9001 certification

    The fiberglass factory is certified to ISO 9001:2008.
